How applying for rooftop solar through SuryaSelect actually works — and what we do and don't do.

SuryaSelect is an independent solar decision and vendor-assistance platform. The official PM Surya Ghar application, approval, subsidy, and disbursement process is handled only through the Government of India / DISCOM portal. SuryaSelect does not guarantee approval or subsidy release.
SuryaSelect is an independent solar decision and vendor-assistance platform. We help you in three ways:
- Decide. Free tools — Solar Calculator, EMI vs Bill, Verify my Quote, Roof Analyzer, Society / Apartment feasibility — answer the practical buying questions before you commit.
- Match. We connect you only with vendors we have verified for registration, GST, and reference installations in your district.
- Track. Once you choose a vendor, we keep an eye on the project stages — site visit, quotation, installation, net metering, subsidy filing.
We are not the government. We do not approve your subsidy, install your panels, or process payments to DISCOMs.
- Run the free Solar Calculator — get your indicative system size, savings, and subsidy in 30 seconds.
- Submit your details to be matched with verified vendors in your district. Your phone number stays masked from vendors until you confirm.
- A SuryaSelect-verified vendor contacts you, schedules a site visit, and shares a quotation. Use our Verify my Quote tool to audit it before you accept.
- You sign with the vendor and pay an advance. The vendor then files your PM Surya Ghar application on the official Government of India / DISCOM portal on your behalf.
- DISCOM approves, the vendor installs and commissions, net meter is fitted, the DISCOM does an inspection, and the central subsidy is transferred directly to your bank account.
